Surfhouse Italian located on the top floor of Merewether Surfhouse has fabulous sweeping views of the coastline.

The design brief was to open up the entry to entice customers in with the view beyond and increase seating by enclosing the open balcony which provided shelter during inclement weather.

The restaurant refurbishment allowed for different settings within the space, with intimate booth seating and more open seating, all with open sightlines to the sea. Materials, lighting and furniture were simpathetically selected to work with the original design of the building and not to compete with the landscape.

Overall the restaurant has an exciting energetic energy that draws both locals and visitors to dine in the new space.
